Family Arbor Day May25 |

The ZWATeam is participating in the organization of this year's Family Arbor Day on Sunday, May 25 from 11-2pm in Waverley Park. In addition to tree planting and tree climbing demonstrations, there will be lots of children's activities including face painting, scavenger hunts and much more. Our Urban Forest is in crisis; each year we lose 400 trees on public land due to age, disease and injury. In addition to beautifying our community, trees provide home and food for birds and animals, clean the air, sequester carbon and reduce energy costs by providing heat and wind barriers. This will be a Litter Free Green Event. If you are bringing refreshments please ensure they are in refillable or recyclable containers. Recycling containers will be provided and participants are urged not to litter-"Remember-It's in Your Hands."
