2010 MUNICIPAL GREEN AWARD The Zero Waste Action Team (ZWATeam) and the City of Thunder Bay invite individuals, businesses and organizations in Thunder Bay to submit applications for the 2010 Municipal Green Award (MGA). Applicants are required to set a specific goal to reduce/divert waste and/or improve the management of resources such as energy and water. The goal must be fulfilled within one year and strategies documented to monitor progress. The 2010 Municipal Green Award is open to members and non-members of the Zero Waste Action Team. The Zero Waste Action Team Municipal Green Award Committee will review the completed applications once received. A member of the Committee will arrange a meeting with each applicant to review the goals. A follow-up meeting will be held near the end of the year to ensure that the goals have been met. The Committee will then make their recommendations regarding the successful applicants to City Council. The City of Thunder Bay Roads Division will provide the Municipal Green Awards, which will be presented by City Council to the successful participants.
