The Municipal Green Award Program is a joint venture of the ZWATeam and the City of Thunder Bay. The goal is to provide incentives for indivduals, organizations and businesses to reduce and divert their waste and increase resource management. Applicants submit Municipal Green Awards identifying their targeted goals and record their progress over the year. The applications are reviewed by the MGA Committee who have an initial meeting with the applicants and a year end meeting to determine if the goals were met. Successful applicants receive Municipal Green Awards from the Mayor at a Council meeting early in the New Year. ZWATeam members who earn Municipal Green Awards are recognized as ZWATeam Local Zero Heroes. 2010 Municipal Green Award Applications are available for downloading on this Website.
