E-Waste Collection Great Success |

Pack Pros Plus, Intercity Shopping Centre, EcoSuperior and the ZWATeam held a very sucessful e-waste collection at Intercity Shopping Centre on Saturday, October 24. More than 500 cars visited the collection site, dropping off 21,683 kg of e-waste - nearly 3 transport trucks full. Pack Pros Plus will be shipping 65 pallets of e-waste from the event to Southern Ontario where it will all be responsibly recycled. Recycling e-waste reclaims valuable metals like gold and copper, diverts hazardous materials like lead, mercury and cadmium from landfill and creates green jobs in Ontario. Items included in Phase 1 of the Province's WEEE Program may be dropped off at Pack Pros PLus at 1439 Rosslyn Road and at the City's new Solid Waste and Recycling Facility on Mapleward Road.
